Sabine Barthauer becomes board member of DZ HYP
Sabine Barthauer, Member of the Board of Managing Directors of Deutsche Hypothekenbank (Actien-Gesellschaft) is leaving the bank at her own request and will assume the function of board member for the back office division, the restructuring and liquidation divisions as well as risk controlling at DZ HYP in Hamburg.
Sabine Barthauer started her professional career in the NORD/LB Group 34 years ago. Since then the trained savings bank business administrator has held various management positions in the domestic and foreign real estate business divisions. In 2008 Sabine Barthauer moved from NORD/LB to Deutsche Hypo and took over the position as head of the department for structured finance and international business. In 2015 she was appointed deputy to the then Board Member responsible for the market.
Since 2016, Ms. Barthauer, as a member of the Board of Managing Directors, has been responsible for the areas of Domestic Real Estate Finance, International Structured Finance, Real Estate Investment Banking, Syndication and Treasury, among others.
With the departure of Sabine Barthauer, a personality is leaving the bank who, during her many years of service in the NORD/LB Group, has acquired an extremely profound knowledge of the banking and financial sector and, in particular, commercial real estate financing business. For many years she has been highly committed to Deutsche Hypo and, not least in her function as a Member of the Board of Managing Directors, she has made a decisive contribution towards successfully developing the bank and making it fit for the future.
“We deeply regret Ms. Barthauer’s departure from both a professional as well as a human perspective. Nevertheless, we understand that she would like to take on new professional challenges. We would like to thank her for her outstanding achievements for Deutsche Hypo and wish her every success in her new position”, commented Thomas Bürkle, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Hypo.
